Pubis hair's pupose is to trap dirt and stop it from entering through the reproductive holes. It also keeps "that certain area" warm when it is cold for extra insulation. In addition, it contaisn erotic scents that are helpful in intercourse.

However, none of these functions are really necessary, its perfectly ok to shave it off. Ask your gyno if you have any more questions.

Pubic hair is there to prevent chaffing but its still ok to shave it

It often serves to protect the pubic area skin but yes it is ok to shave it if you want.

yes... pubic hair DOES have a point believe it or not. The hair actually acts as a "dry lubricant" for legs that are constantly moving i.e. walking, running. same reason for armpit hair.

When my husband got an infection because of an ingrown hair after shaving his doctor informed him that the hair is there to keep bacteria out.
