I thus think the best match for taurus is taurus itself, followed by capricorn (a calm and loving sign), cancer (also apt with household and children) and gemini (who likes family gatherings and can build treehouses for the children).

Virgos can get along with tauruses too because of their sedentarity, but they are somewhat more negative about life than the other four signs (that's their 'killer instinct' talking).

The Aquarius can also help for a while with its awesome knowledge and humor, yet we can hardly expect that sign to stay at home and be happy.
