yes, by a very very tiny amount (less than 1%)so it is not worth the bother just keep using A/C for ur comfort . just do regular tune up and oil changes and keep tires properly inflated just those three are the most important for a good fuel economy

Yes it will, but it will typically be only a small amount.
Results from various experiments have shown that opening windows leads to an increase of drag resistance. (Another thing that will cause a reduction in mileage)
From most testing that I've seen and read, a speed of 45 is the break point for most vehicles. Travel less than 45mph, open windows will save more gas, travel more than 45mph close windows and use the A/C will save more gas. They did a whole experimental show on Mythbusters, where the vehicles were travelling 55mph and showed that the vehicle with the A/C on actually travelled about 40 miles further than the vehicle with the windows opened.
Of course, travel with windows up and No A/C will save the most gas, if you can tolerate the heat.
Even travelling with the A/C on at lower speeds, the gas usage is typically small. Somewhere on the order of 10% fewer miles if you use the A/C as opposed to not using theA/C. My wife and I drive the same car and I don't use the A/C to save gas. She can't live with out the A/C on in her car. Her car gets about 26-28 miles per gallon. My car gets 30-32 miles per gallon.
So the savings is only about 3 miles per gallon every 30 miles.
Easiest way to test is run some experiments on your own car.

Air conditioner compressors in automobiles are belt driven off of your engine. All air conditioners take away from the efficiency of an internal combustion engine. newer modules do this less, as they run more efficiently and require less from the engine as they did in the past, R134A systems run at a lower pressure than their R12 predecessors from the pre 80 eras. Running the air conditioner will increase fuel consumption, but so does the little 12V cigarette lighter plug that your cell phone plugs into, as the alternator has to recharge the battery during it's use. modern cars figure all of this into an equation and have also figured it into the rating that car manufacturers have put on the cars for fuel efficiency. just the compressor sitting under your hood takes power from your engine. it has to be a compromise that you are willing to take.

A/C useage results in less mpg....Anything that runs off the engine does the same including the alternator, the power steering and the belt driven cooling fan. Anyone who says it doesn't is ill-informed. It's a simple principle of physics.

Is it worth it to you. If ur on the highway, it saves gas vs. rolling down the windows.

yes. but if the windows are rolled down going fast, the wind resistance will waste just as much

we can't.that is merely the organic lifestyles cycle of the earth.producing bio fuels take lots of aspects. If all of us fall for that we are going to break land and eco structures in line with that land, and the place can we enhance our food while bio's are the place the money would be.
