I am on birth control, and last week (the 3rd week of pills) I had some light bleeding on and off for a couple of days, which is very rare for me. My period was not supposed to start until yesterday, and it still hasn't. I attributed this to the light bleeding, and thought that perhaps because I'm underweight and have recently lost more weight, my period had started early and was just very light.

I had sex on Monday. Is it possible to conceive that quickly? In other words, is there any chance at all that I'm not having my period now because of the sex on Monday even though I had some light bleeding last week? I hadn't had any for 2 months before that, so that was the only time something could've happened.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would get an OTC pregnancy test & rule out pregnancy.
Losing a great deal weight can make you stop bleeding,
this happens to female athletes, who don't have a lot of body fat. Did you skip taking any pills, you can have break through bleeding on BC pills. It's very unlikely your pregnant but it can happen.

If you were taking your birth control pills every day, you should not be pregnant. Spotting can occur with the pill.

You can still take an over the counter birth control test with the pill when you suspect your period is late. It tests for a hormone emitted by the fetus and placenta so there's no chance of a false positive because of the birth control.

it is probably just your weight. a lot of women you are over or under weight don't have their period. there is a chance of course that you could be pregnant, but I think that the more likely thing is your weight. You should speak to your doctor. It would be too soon to tell if you were pregnant right now though.

good luck!

Just wait for a week, then worry. maybe your period is late, my girlfriend once was two weeks late, of course her stressing over not having her period yet delayed it. The day after she did a pregnancy test and found out she wasn't, she started.
