Why is it that I cannot smoke in public, in a place with "non-smoking areas" and smoke filters, BUT I can go almost anyplace, even a family place like ball games, KI, or the place "non-smokers" go to eat and get as trashed as I want? Even the Yahoo home page advertises beer. Would you rather be driving down the highway with someone smoking or drinking?

actually it's probably illegal to be drunk in public where you live. It's very likely not enforced, yet it's still illegal. As far as driving while drinking. That's illegal in all of the US, and probably where you live as well.

As far as smoking in public vs drinking in public. The last thing you want is for them to do a study and declare that second hand alcohol causes fetal abnormalities.

A star for your question.Great Question. I totally agree with you. Let smokers not smoke but drink as much as you like. I think the smokers have allowed these laws passed. Second hand smoke??How about second hand drinkers. i think more people have been killed by the effects of drinking and second hand drinking than smokers.Very irritating for sure.

very few states enable 24 hour eating. To the best of my information Nevada is the only one. right here in Michigan, you won't be in a position to purchase between 2 am and 7 am on weekdays, 2 and 12 on Sundays, and not in any respect on Sundays in some counties.

Actually cigarettes are THE number one drug killer.
Smoking affects the health of those around you per se rather than drinking, where your behaviour while intoxicated may have a detrimental outcome, but needn't. Since I've been pregnant, I find myself wishing that the law prohibited in public spaces.

Basically smoking causes a nuisance to others.

Because people aren't pissed off enough at drinkers yet.
Just wait. It won't be long till restrictions are put on where you can drink.
