Hi!
Most elderly people are just crazy about getting out of the house and neighborhood. My local city offers a rail tour that takes people from the Park-N-Ride, to the zoo, to the botanical gardens, to the aquarium, and back to the Park-N-Ride spot. See if you have something similar in you area. I bet she'd be ecstatic for the change of scenery, and a chance to make new memories, instead of mulling over old ones. Happy B-day grandma! I'm so glad you are thinking of a gift for her!

Bake her a pie or make her something. Most grandmother's don't want you to spend your money on them, but would rather you spend time with them.
