I have searched the web and have found many that have 4 wheels with 2-4 wheel friction locks. Someone has said that they have seen one that has retrcatable wheels that can be moved into place then when wieght is applied the wheels retract so that there is no slippage, but i am unable to find such a device.

I do believe they have bedside toilets available on the market. Check with local medical supply stores. I know they have the standard bedside potty chairs, but I'm not sure if you can find one with wheels on the back. I'm guessing the potty with wheels may not be safe for the person using it, unless there is some manner of locking wheels, such as with the wheelchairs.

If you are looking for portability to and from the bathroom, the potty portion of the chair lifts out of the seat portion for easy transport to the bathroom for emptying and cleaning.

I have worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 15 years and took care of invalid wheelchair bound amputee grandmother for 10 years. I have never seen a commode with wheels on it. It would be too dangerous to have wheels on it as brakes do wear out, wheels break and so on. I have only seen commodes with adjustable legs to adjust the height of the commode. The receptacle that is under the seat of the commode comes out for easy emptying. Todays commodes are usually made of lightweight aluminum tubing so they are very light to carry by hand.

Yep there is. You can go to any medical supplies store and you can get it from there.
