Saying that their presence here doesn't affect us is ignorant, no offense of course. The reasons that people don't like illegal immigrants are numerous:
1) Most of us have ancestors that came to America legally. They followed all of the rules, they learned the language, they adapted to the culture, and they contributed to the country by working and _paying their taxes_. Why is that so much to ask for these illegal immigrants?
2) Illegal immigrants take jobs away from unskilled labor that belongs to American citizens. Many people use the line, "well they're just doing jobs that no American wants anyway." So every American is college-educated and middle to upper-class? I don't think so. We have more than 300 million citizens in this country, many of which want to do the unskilled labor that is becoming more and more unavailable to them due to illegal immigration; outsourcing isn't helping, either, and only makes the mark illegal immigration makes in this sense even larger.
3) Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, and leech from our government and American tax payers. An economy is a _cycle_. Money cannot just go in one direction. Illegal immigrants are benefitting from welfare, medical care, and jobs, yet they are not putting money back into the system by paying taxes. How long do you think our government can continue to support both the American tax payers and the millions (and quickly growing) of illegal immigrants at the same time with its only income being from American taxpayers?
Sure, illegal immigrants want to come here to feed their families. That is very noble. However, it is disgusting that they think they have the right to do that at the expense of the American people, without going through the procedures that every American citizen's family has gone through in order to become a proud citizen of this nation, and without so much as learning our languange? That is a slap to the face; one that our government is unfortunately not paying enough attention to.

I don't hate them either! In fact, we need to do everything we can to help them become citizens!!! When did we stop being "The Land of the Free"?? My only issue (and it's more of a respect thing) is their unwillingness to learn English or, if they know how, not speaking English in public! If I was going to move to another country, I would learn enough of their language to be able to communicate before I ever moved there! Yes, illegal immigration is taking a huge toll on our economy, costing taxpayers an enormous amount of money, and taking up the funds set aside for welfare and such that should be used for our own less fortunate citizens & we need to do SOMETHING but, the way our government is handling the situation is plain WRONG!!
The last time I checked, the Statue of Liberty was still standing tall welcoming the tired & poor with a promise of a new life!!!!

For one i don't hate them but they are queue jumpers
& if everyone did that you would not have enough food water doctors hospitals etc roads housing etc
A bit like what Premier Bettie has allow to happen in brisbane australia by not having enough infrastructure to cater for a fast growing city
now we are nealy out of water & hospitals cant cope & housing is bad roads are a mess & the list goes on so i hope you get the picture why you cant just let queue jumpers in without all the planning for them!!

People hate them because they came here ILLEGALLY!!!
They don't pay taxes. They send most of the money they make back to where they came from which means it doesn't go back into our economy. They will take less in wages than someone here legally, which drives salaries down or slows them. They will work 70 hours a week for straight pay without time and a half for overtime. Need I go on.....!!!!!

no longer something against the legals, yet illegals had no actual to come again to a different u . s . and make it their homestead devoid of going via the criminal immigration regulations of the rustic they went to. i'm sorry, yet they could desire to've respected the regulations of the land. one factor it is so very frustrating is that our crime costs have long previous up. would not all of us know the regulation in any respect anymore? i'm no longer basically speaking approximately illegals. people in Mexico ought to've demanded good leaders who will arise and notice that their all people is dealt with and have jobs and could stay a chuffed life.

Because they don't pay taxes.
If we cut off money in Iraq, the legal citizens saving your *** from suicide bombers and other acts of terrorism will die.
My parents took the test and became legal when they came here. It's not that hard.
