My mom broke her foot two weeks ago tomorrow. She got a cat scan done last Friday and it said that her heel is supposedly crushed. They say she can't walk on it for another 2 months (she'll be on crutches) and then after the 2 months i guess she can only put wait on it for like an hour. I guess what I am asking is, is there a way her foot can heal better? My mom has a job to get back to in Wisconsin, and she really needs to get up there. Any rememdies or something that could help it heal faster? Please, please help! Thanks!

She has a job in Wisconsin, she's a bar manager and she's always on her feet.

1. Was she seen by a orthopedic doctor or a podiatrist? I would get a recommendation from a podiatrist if she hasn't seen one.

2. Go to a Reiki practioner. (You want someone who is a Master.) They work wonders for some people.

3. Whether you are Catholic or not, find a healing Mass in your area.

I hope she gets better soon and will offer positive healing thoughts and prayers for her from a distance.

The Doctor should be able to tell her that. I'm really sorry to hear about your Mom's foot ! Maybe physical therapy also , but it takes a while .

Sometimes it can take years for bones to heal right, after a severe injury..

It's hard to wait when things like jobs are "pressing issues." Tell her to listen to the doctor. Trying to speed up the process of healing can sometimes make an exsisting injury worse and may require more correction than what would have been necessary if she had been patient.

If theinjury is in the heel of her foot, chances are she's just going to have to wait it out. My brother broke his heel almost a year ago and still has problems..... The heel is a very sensitive area.

Bones will only heal so fast. It will actually take at least six months to a year for her heal to fully heal, although it will withstand weight sooner.
