i totally agree w/ u, i went to this seminar, and there r so many cracks in evolution, especially all of that radiometric dating crap, and like the earth being billions of years old, there r so many reasons that that couldnt happen too, and for people who think of some things that make the earth older, the worldwide flood would have changed a lot of things
and by the way, for all of the people, i have studied evolution and creation, and listened to both sides and scientists, and creation is so much more plausible
sorry about ur detention though, that really sucks

With all the scientific evidence available, you'd think some societies would completely (and pretty rapidly) abandon the religious and mythical domains, however our culture doesn't do that. Does that mean that we need it somehow, it is fulfilling a basic (maybe primal) need. Or is it that once our society as a whole adopts a viewpoint through x number of generations, it is hard to let go entirely. Well, you know we are talking about a small amount of time evolutionarily (only a hundred years) .

I would think your religion would have taught you not to be so foul mouthed, such a thing is a more important teaching of most religions than details of how life began (evolution vs creation).
You can be wrong on the evolution debate. There is no debate that such language is inappropriate under the circumstances.

Evolution is the current scientific thinking. Reasoning people don't discount it as B.S. In a science class, you get science. Learn it even if you don't like it.

First, it's not BS.
They teach things in school, so that students (like you) become less ignorant. As you grow up into an adult, you need to be more informed about the nature of reality.

Just to pi$$ you off.
That's good enough for me.
Oh yeah...and all the scientific evidence to back it up.
And...even if you don't want to accept the theory of evolution, how can you argue against something if you don't take the time to learn what it is in the first place....

A little knowledge is dangerous.
Try learning about all the theories of origins of life and then make your conclusion. And you don't have to believe one or the other strongly.

And, your alternative hypotheses is???
Oh, yeah! I'll bet is is the bible and creationism. Where's your "evidence"? (A book written 2000+ years ago by people ignorant of current science doesn't count)

It is the scientifically accepted explanation for mankind. If you want a Biblically based explanation, go to a religious school.
