Anyone BUT Daisuke. He is technically a pro and it just seems wrong. How about Elijah Dukes if he gets it going again?

Delmon Young shouldn't even be a candidate unless he can bat better then .220 at some point.I think Josh Hamilton would be way ahead of Delmon in the voting if it happened today and with the tear Pence is on in Houston lately he would be a better choice then Delmon as well.Matsuzuka has shown brilliance at times and has been smacked around like a red headed step child at others so not sure if hes the top guy either and thats coming from a Red Sox fan.

If James Shields from Tampa is rookie voting eligible he would get my vote. He's pitching in the tough AL east without Yanks or Red Sox lineups to support him and since a slightly shaky first outing has been pitching like an ace striking out about 1 per inning on average. He's been going 7 to 8 innings and has a complete game in there to i think. How many rookie pitchers come in pitching more then 6 innings consistently and that many quality starts? Not very many.I wish the Red Sox would make a deal to get James, call me greedy but i know good talent when i see it and would love to have that Devil Ray on my team.Delmon who? lol.

WAY too early for that. But, if I had to pick, I'd say Dice. He has been really good, just not consistent enough yet. It may be somewhat cheap giving him the ROY as he had played in Japan for a while, but he is a rookie by MLB standards, and that is the only requirement for the award.

Matsusakea is a free agent, not a rookie. Ad there are more rookies than just Delmon Young.
