Well I'm 20. I'm a little overweight also. I'm trying to lose tho. I've had this problem ever since I was 12. My mother never took the time to get me checked out, because I've never lived wit her. Now I have to take matter's into my own hands but I'm afraid that I might have something that can't be cured.

You need to go to a doctor, really! continuous discharge is not normal. And continuous odor is not normal either. Get it checked!

You need to see a doctor. There are many infections that can be present without being sexually active, just like other areas of the body.
Feminine sprays or douches will only make the problem worse (or cause problems in the first place), further upsetting the natural pH balance your body works hard to maintain - and your body doesn't care if it's emitting an offending odor in the process.
Brown discharge is only normal surrounding a period, when there may be trace amounts of older (hence brown not red) blood in the discharge.
Brown discharge can also be a sign of Vaginitis - which is a broad term for vaginal infection, and it doesn't need to be caused by sexual activity. It should be addressed sooner rather than later. The gyno will likely prescribe an antibiotic that aimed to address the specific type of infection present and in no time you'll have no more brown discharge and no more offending odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test.
If you are having ANY of the symptoms below SEE YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.
* Pain
* Itching
* Discomfort
* Rash or sores alone or with a vaginal discharge

A brown discharge could mean an infection. Sexually active is not the only way to get them. Do not use feminine sprays or douches,which you say you aren't, thats good. Even sprays aren't good. But you do need to see your Dr.Odors are not normal. My Dr. has always said not to use any sprays etc.

it sounds like a bacterial infection or worse a virus. I would go to they gyn. and ask for an antibiotic. If you leave it much longer it can only get worse. The discoloration is not so much the worry, but the smell that hints at an infection. Don't be scared you're just another pretty face in that gyno's office. : )

Technically you're not supposed to use sprays or douche. Your period is a natural cleanser. When you use spray, douche, or feminine wash such as summer's eve, you can possibly create a chemical imbalance. You should definitely go to the doctor. If you have vaginitis you'll receive antibiotics and it should clear up within 7 days.

There is something called vaginitis. It's a bacterial infection that smells bad. If you have a discharge, you should definitely have that looked at because it could be more serious. You should go to a gynecologist. If it's vaginitis, treatment is a very simple antibiotic treatment.

You must go see a OBGYN, she/he can examine you and give you some meds. It is embarrassing to have the odor because after while you wonder if anyone else can smell it to. You might just have an infection. I am not sure feminine spray are actually good. to use.

Well, you should go to a doctor... And using feminine sprays can irritate your lady parts and cause problems as well. I also heard that wearing clothes that don't breathe (silk and cotton apparently breathe the best) can cause infections. Hope you get better soon. ^^
