AI is not better than human intelligence, but in some instances it may be more effective.

AI is rational thought without judgement. It makes a situation black and white - there is no gray.

i.e. if a student needs 60 percent to pass a test and they have 59.5 a being with human intelligence may say "oh, they worked hard, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt." A being with artificial intelligence processes 59.5 does not equal 60, therefore no pass.

how would we know? I don't believe there is a true AI out there yet in the classic meaning.
But an AI is more likely, as I understand it, to do calculations faster, and get the same answer every time unless there's a glitch in the programming. Not very likely to be flexible enough to handle the unexpected or make any leaps of intuition that give us an edge.

When I monitor the news I hear about all the worlds conflicts mostly humans versus humans, nation versus nation, religion versus religion, rats killing rats. So I do not have a great view of human society. AI given a purpose can achieve unity. The society of AI can be much better than human society if it has unity. Finding purpose and unity in human society has proven impossible. I just do not understand what purpose AI would have. I guess it depends on whether it has good or bad in its direction.

If you ask an ATM machine for twenty bucks, it will verify your password, verify your account information, verify you have twenty bucks in your account, and spit out the twenty bucks.
If you ask your dad for twenty bucks, he'll ask why you need it, where are you going, what you are going to spend it on, and who'll you'll be spending it with.
If you do not have twenty dollars in your account, the ATM machine will not give you twenty bucks.
But your dad just might...
Which do you prefer?

Who told you it's 'better', and why did you believe them? No one claims it's 'better', it's just an interesting and possibly profitable scientific venture.
