JK Rowling says it's done.
The only way it can continue is due to the fact that Warner Brothers actually bought the rights to the Harry Potter trademark. I'm not sure exactly what the restrictions on that are, but I have heard that WB could actually continue the storyline.

I'd like to see her write for some of the other characters. A book focusing on Fred and George, or the Aurors, or one set at Beaubatons....

Rowlings will be done, and any by another author would suck. The real shame would be if some hack writer tried to pick up the series.
