I had a trapped nerve a few years ago and couldn't walk for a week, it was terrible, and it made me realize what some people actually live with all the time.
I couldn't get out of bed to make a drink or anything and had to rely on my husband for everything and needing the loo......well that's another story!

Last year, I broke my leg. I couldn't walk for 4 months (w/o crutches) The first week it was fun. Then I had to have screws put in my leg. And I also had to have a full leg cast. Then I was in a cast that went up to right below my knee. After that, I had to get a boot cast. Believe me, after a couple days, IT SUCKS!
(I am only 13. I have to have surgery on it again next week:()

I'd hope someone would hang out with me and help keep me entertained.
I'd get a wheel chair so I could still move around, you know, get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

ive been in that situation and it isnt as fun as people think. ur muscles get weak and when you do walk again it feels like u are all wobbly and yea it was nice being catered to but i would much rather walk and do things myself.

Happened to me after a knee operaton.
I turned to the TekWar books by W. Shatner then. You should try them too.

Well, if it was only for a week, than I would enjoy it and lay around having people bring me stuff.
