I am a kid and I live in Las Vegas.
My favorite things to do are,

The Dolphin and Tiger Habitat at the Mirage
http://www.mirage.com/attractions/attractions_dolphins.aspx

Laser Quest http://www.laserquest.com/pages/about/LQ_About.html

I have not seen this show, but I want to
Gregory Popovich's Comedy Pet Theater

Circus Circus has the Adventure Dome (small theme park) which has rides kids will enjoy.

The Stratosphere has rides atop the tower.

Go to the Mirage to see the Dolphin Habitat. You get to take a tour of the Habitat and see the dolphins, white tigers, etc. It's worth seeing.

The Mandalay Bay has the Shark Reef which you would probably enjoy.

Venetian has Madame Tussauds (sp?) wax museum. That is great for people of all ages! The wax figurines look so real and there are so many opportunities for great photographs there.

There are a lot of activities for families of all ages to enjoy in Las Vegas. Please email me if you would like more information.

Sorry to say but you shouldn't be taking a 12 year old daughter to Vegas. There are few places for kids that age, the water park is closed, there is Circus Circus but that is a dump, there is Gameworks but you can only be there for so long.

Vegas isn't set up for families and sure isn't kid friendly. She will see and be exposed to things you don't want. Sex, gambling and booze are everywhere, you can't get away from them. You can't even take a taxi ride without seeing sex. Is this really what you want to expose her too? On top of that, you won't have a good time having to worry about her. The few places that allow kids have curfews (yes I know that you don't care about that) because there have been a lot of crime against children lately.

Please rethink this, Vegas is an adult playground for a reason.

No fun for a twelve or 20 yo daughter in LV. Bring her back when she is 21 yo.
LV not now built for family fun. They tried that several years ago and found out it was a loser for them.

as a child is not allowed anywhere on the gaiming floor, there are plenty of other thing to do, as long as you ae not going just to gamble. there are childens game stores that have all the newest games avaliable for kids from pinbalol to playstation. one of the most wonderful waterparks that is fre to their guests is at the mirage, and well worht staying there as they offer sitter services, as wel as it is located amost directly in the middle of the strip and convenient to everything.

the mardi gras ride at the rio and the gondola rides are the venetian are also a bit of culture and fun for kids.
