The Ocean
I found a wonderful place for me to be
Down by the ocean, where my spirit's set free
The gentle breeze blowing the mist upon my face
As the waves crash on the rocks all over the place
Foot prints are covered by the incoming tide
As surfers try catching that perfect ride
The smell of the water is so fresh and new
The color changes from green to blue
When the surf is high with peaks so white
And the sun is shining with a glare so bright
As I feel your love I know I'm not alone
And the echos' I hear are calling me home
Home to where you are waiting for me
And together we'll travel down to the sea
The sea where all life truly began
Thanks to the Lord, the Father of man
So whenever you feel the beginning of doubt
Remember the truth of what life's all about
There's no guarantee, you can only pray for the best
Have faith in the Lord, and He'll do the rest

I went to the ocean when I was ten,
Hard to remember things back then,
The waves were big and I was small,
I loved to play with my beach ball,
The sand was hot, and I made castles,
When your this young there is no hastles,
I got to go shopping and out to eat,
When back to the hotel I was beat,
We stayed a week and it was fun,
but now our trip is all done.

I wjust wrote this. Sorry if it is dumb, but it is true!

Poem Ocean

Singing in the sunshine, laughing in the rain
Hitting on the moonshine, rocking in the brain
Got no time to pack my bag, my foots outside the door
I got a date, I can't be late, for the hellhound im looking for.
Uh-huh! oh oh yeah!
Singing to an ocean, I can hear the ocean's roar
Play for free, and play for me and play a whole lot more, more!
Singing 'bout the good things and the sun that lights the day
I used to sing on the mountains, has the ocean lost it's way?
I don't know.
(phone ringing in background
Oh oh yeah!
Oh, yeah!
na na na..., La la la...
Sitting round singing songs til the night turns into day
Used to sing on the mountains but the mountains washed away
Now I'm singing all my songs to the girl who won my heart
She is only three years old and it's a real fine way to start.
Oh yeah!
It sure is fine!
Blow my mind!
(starts off with a "re" sound) Me feel so gooey now!
Yeah yeah!
Do wop a diddly diddly........
Oh, so good!

Just for you xceltics:

''Sand Castles''
A love that leaves you with a broken heart,
Was never yours right from the start....
And many times I've held in hand,
Castles made from grains of sand...
I cherished them, they meant the world to me,
But then the tide came suddenly...
And washed away my happy days,
And that has made me so afraid...
This I have said and now it's done,
I'll never build another one...
To be washed away like the ones before,
And swept from off the ocean's shores...
That will leave me hurt and stranded,
Broken hearted and empty handed...
Because my dark past has taught me,
Don't build your castles by the sea...
Keep them where they are free from harm,
In the rain they are dry, in the cold they are warm...
Don't be a fool for love, be smart,
And build all your castles inside your heart.... :)

heres one i made up myself:

Tomorrow

Swimming ,surfing, tanning,
Some peeps are still obsessed with fanning
I watch the waves across the sand,
To answer, i wave my hand.
The ocean waves back to say hello,
I'm just grateful that theres no snow.
Little kids jump in to play,
Whining to their moms,
Because they want to stay.
"oh well," alot of people say,
" We can come another day."
Ocean waves goodbye,
I think i can almost here it sigh
Its lonely now: it waves in sorrow,
All of the people come back tommorrow.
The sun sets; its the end of the day,
But the ocean can gladly say,
" Alot comes on the morrow,
Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow."

I would be glad to help you with this. The ocean is one of my most common themes in my writing, as it is my favorite place on earth to be. But I would rather do this thru email than try and work with you here. I have my BA in english and my MA in contemporary literature and creative writing, so i'm not full of crap here. If you'd like my assistance, please email me and I'd be glad to help.
