I am looking for the meaning and/or symbolism of an elephant. I have always been interested in elephants and am thinking of getting a tattoo of one but was wondering if there was any symbolism.

The elephant is the symbol for the Repulicans, other then that they're suppose to be good luck.

Well, a white elephant symbolizes something rare and beautiful, I think. Don't get the tattoo. What will you say when you are 90 years old and your grandkids ask you "What iw that?"
