The lost war quote was taken out of context, then blown out of proportion. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid actually said he "thinks President Bush's top cabinet members know the Iraq war is a lost cause and the surge is failing to bring peace to the region as evidenced by the extreme violence in Iraq this week,"

Harry Reid has a backbone few men have, he supports the troops 110%. He is the voice of the American people and he will not back down, President Bush will soon cave.

He is basically saying that staying in Iraq is bad, but staying there and not paying the troops to do so, is worse.

The war is lost. An idiot would not let our troops come home. Democrats won't let soldiers die because they didn't have proper amor or equipment, only Repugnants do that.

Because he is a politician and wants to be re-elected. If you don't know this by now, then you really shouldn't be allowed to vote. Politicians say what they must to get votes. Remember "read my lips, no new taxes"? They all flip-flop and they all lie, get used to it and quit crying about just one party doing it.
