There are a lot of yellow poisonous things in Florida. Although poison is technically something you ingest, venom is technically something that is injected. How big? Any other colors? And by the way, all spiders are considered venomous. That's how they kill their prey....

Addendum...sounds like the big yellow/black/red spiders that make a huge web, like the other answerer said, but I have to point out that "banana spider" is not the correct name. Many people call them that, but technically a true banana spider is something different. What we are talking about here is a "golden silk spider" also called an orb weaver. They're huge, beautiful (to me!!), and very scary looking. They actually make golden yellow silk and their web is gorgeous. They won't kill you. You might get a bad bite wound, but that is typical of any spider bite anyway. These spiders are native to Florida (that means they should be here) and banana spiders are something else that arrived from the Caribbean in imported plants (which makes them exotic).

Yep, all spiders are venomous.

Big yellow and brown and black with a big huge web (usually right in the middle of a path in the woods), and even it's silk is kinda yellowish?

Banana spider most likely if it matches that. Harmless. Used to play with them all the time, but for some reason spiders started freaking me out (I think it was after I saw my first brown recluse bite), I don't pick them up to play with them anymore, but they're neat.

Oh yeah, if a banana spider bites you, it's a bit worse than a bee sting from what I understand. The two spiders to really look out for here in Florida are black widows and brown recluses, you may want to do a search for images of Florida's spiders, or maybe even pick up a field guide to them and scan through it... get an idea of the common stuff.
