This year's high prices are caused a little bit by the government. Every spring Oil refineries have to shut down to do repairs. Well last year due to the hurricanes and refineries that were shut down on the coasts the government paid off the other refineries to not shut down and continue to produce to help keep prices going up too high. So this year they are having a harder time doing the repairs and its taking twice as long and costings a lot more to do the repairs.

To answer your question. Name four countries where gasoline, diesel fuel, and home heating oil is CHEAPER than the United States.
Yes we are still being robbed but go to any other Continent in the world and let me know if you think Bush is causing the increases. Today Japanese people pay pay $1.33 per liter. That was two weeks ago while I was there. There are four liters in an imperial gallon, slightly more than our gallon. People in Europe and Great Brittan are really getting skinned. Canadians pay 20% more than we do.
Keep buying those big old SUV's because we get so MUCH snow these days. Everybody needs 4 wheel drive so they can keep up with the neighbors. It takes both gas and power to roll these ridiculous heavy things out of your own drive way.

Idiot.
You can thank your socialist ex-president Billary for halting oil drilling in ANWAR (which holds enough crude to supply the U.S. for 50 years). You can thank congress for forcing refineries to mix 'blended' gasoline every spring and summer due to some idiotic air quality index which does no good except raise the cost of refinement. Oil companies (which I hate, by the way) have a set 9% profit goal per year. If cost to import, refine and blend goes up the profit also goes up. How the hell is this THEIR fault? Do you really believe they should NOT make any profit at all? Imagine that we had only a handfull of gas stations to choose from instead of thousands and had to wait in line for three hours just to be allowed to pump ten gallons. Well I lived it after hurricane Ivan and let me tell you it sucked the big dog's di*k. I pray the oil companies make a profit every year because I want to be able to stop and fill up anywhere I want. Take away the profit and you also take away any incentive for customer service. You want to ***** about high fuel costs? Tell congress to drop the 0.47 per gallon tax on gas.

Not really. While he hasn't taken any drastic measures (or much of any measures) to prevent gas prices from rising, there also isn't much the president can do. Just ask Nixon, Ford, or Carter how effective their attempts at gas price control were.

thank you for the link. I even have pronounced that we are being bought to China. For our debt. i did no longer have info. I reasoned it out a similar way you probably did. Why is China giving us funds. the only answer is to very own us as quickly as we gained't pay off. I published socialist questions till people began believing we are turning socialist. i replaced into slammed badly and trolled difficult. LOL next got here Nationalization This replaced right into a no longer consumer-friendly sell. Then BO pronounced we've been. each and every of the Dem's tried performing like they knew till now the decide for. Yeah. I examine their solutions, they did no longer comprehend. LOL Then I moved directly to communism. it quite is merely this week that anybody is believing we'd be communist. I published such "wild" issues my followers stopped answering my questions. LOL i did no longer care. i replaced into getting the actuality out. that's all that mattered. My "wild" issues have been the actuality. the actuality is so loopy that it quite is tough to have confidence. in spite of the info in front of you.

do you morons even realize who makes laws? or who decides how much to tax gas per gallon? or do you morons even realize that the oil company profits are less than one sixth as much as our tax revenue on it.......
625% thats how much more of the money spent on gas goes to the government vs. oil company
every person who goes along with these idiotic rants should either educate themselves or, wait till you graduate GRADE SCHOOL before deciding what political party you 'HATE'...
but lastly id like to say to country-boy that i drive a SUV, i NEED 4x4, i live in alaska... ive seen more snow this winter than most of americans see in thier entire lifetime... so not all people driving SUV's are the soccer moms that have never been off a paved road.

the gas prices will keep raising because of memorial day and the increased traffic that will be on memorial day weekend. also gas companies know that more people are going to be out and about because of warmer weather. supply and demand; the more people out driving means that gas prices are going to increase

He probably has knowledge of what's happening and doesn't care due to our tax dollars paying for his transportation for one.
Also, he could open the oil reserve as he did before and help with the prices.
Dick Cheney and Bush to me = Corruption!
