i think a 6-string bass is actually an alternative tuned guitar.
i play a 2-string upright acoustic/electric Bass

probably not b/c it's the same concept, just with 2 more strings....but i might be wrong, i'm just a drummer :-)

it is easier, but i cant say it is that easy.
