Uh, you can "buy American" at Wal-Mart if you wish. There are American-made products as well as foreign-made. Or did you mean that right-handed people demand that we "buy American"?? This second assertion makes as much sense as you intended meaning of "righties".

any pro-globalization president is basically saying "don't ever buy american" unless its a foreign auto company like Toyota or Hyundai both of whom have auto plants in america. More parts of the toyota minivan is made in america than a ford mustang. So really it doesn't matter what people say if they support globalization, and it doesn't seem like it'll be a major issue anytime soon. Also, i'm a democrat and you think "righties" should support buying american made but democrates should be worried as well after all american workers and unions have always been a major part of the democratic party.

I find that the Left and the unions are more concerned with "Buy American" than the righties, actually.
"Buy local" and "support your community" and "charity starts at home" and "the outsourcing of America" blah blah blah are the chants fair trade, anti-Wal-Mart populist types. Those people mostly reside in the Democrat Party.
So, there's not as much hypocrisy as you think. I'm not saying that Republicans don't argue something similar, but the paleo-conservatives just aren't all that popular in the GOP any more.

Sorry, I'm a Righty, I don't buy everything American (Union's make crap products that cost to much) and I could care less what you buy.
As far as buying Chinese, why not if their quality is OK and it's cheap.
Besides, Didn't one of our candidates sit on the board of Walmart, drafting their Policies? Then didn't that candidates spouse, while president, push for China into the WTO, so they could sell thier products thru Walmart? Without making them change their child labor laws? Guess who still own their Stock Options???
So, what was your question again???????

I am a conservative and proud of it. I shop at WalMart. I don't demand that anyone buy American. I think it's the union thugs in the US who try to promote the buy American idea. They don't want to lose their jobs.

because even the "righties" are feeling the pinch of the the Bush Corporate Economy. As far as us regular citizens are concerned, our "real Income" has dropped every year he has been in office.

Oh you didn't know? With Cons/Repubes it's "do as I say, not as I do". Proof is that Cons and "born again" Christians have 70% of the abortions in the US, with the remaining 30% being atheist or agnostics.
