The top team (10 teams) in my league offered me this trade. I'd be giving up Sizemore and could use some power. Do you think Fielder is the real deal and will Mauer return to form? I already have Crawford and Hanley for SB's. My Starting catchers are Pudge and Doumit. I have Adrian Gonzalez at 1st but can put Fielder at Util? What do you guys think of this deal. I know two for one is seldom a good idea but this seems to make sense. Thoughts?

I'd definitely do this trade. I personally am really high on Prince Fielder, as he could be this year's Ryan Howard, hitting between 45-50 HR with a good batting average. Mauer is one of the top catchers in fantasy and will raise your team's batting average by quite a bit (and don't forget he stole 10 bases last year too). The fact that you are getting a lot of power and upgrading your weakest position is well worth giving up your strength (speed, OF). Using strength to shore up weakness, a fantasy must. Good luck.

If you need power this is a great trade for you. Is Fielder the real deal...you bet he is, his numbers get better every year he has played pro ball from his first minor league assignment to now and he is adjusting very nicely to big league pitching. The raw power is there to hit 40 bombs and the swing is very smooth.Mauer is a machine and although Pudge is good and gives very solid fantasy numbers Mauer is an elite fantasy producer. Giving up Sizemore isnt ever easy but you have to give talent to get some and this guy is offering you a ton of prime talent in return and the players will address your needs (the most important part of the deal). It makes great sense to me and I would do it in a heartbeat.

yes this souns good because you are giving up great amazing all around player for 2 players of almost the same caliber as him, so if you add em up fielder and mauer are better than sizemore:

mauer+fielder>sizemore

Sizemore is an all-around good player and I think he is going to have a great season.

I'd keep Sizemore because he'll come around.
