Ok i've been trying to not freak out BUT here's my delimma:
I had been taking pennicilan which knocks out the BC that i'm on so we used a condom but it fell off (i kno, weird.) and that was two saturdays ago. I was supposed to start sunday but didn't. Today, though, i started but i go back on the BC tonight so i'll only have my period for one day not that it really matters but i've heard that you can still have a light period and be pregnant. So, how long should i wait before taking a pregnancy test and what kind (is there even a difference?) should i get?
thanks sooooo much!

you can wait the 21days until your next period or next week purchase a pregnancy test from the drug store, and see if it says - or +......if you choose to wait till your next period....and are finding your breasts are tender and nausiated Definately go to your doctors they'll do a blood/and or urine test to determine if you're pregnant. And yes...ppl have had a period and the next month they're pregnant. Everyone is different
Best wishes*

Chances are you are not pregnant. You mentioned the condom fell off two Saturdays ago and your missed period was supposed to start last Sunday, right? Most likely you woudn't have still been fertile 8 days before your period was due. I'd say chances are that you are not pregnant, but at this point, since you've already missed your period, a home pregnancy test should be able to detect whether or not you're pregnant.

Being sick and the antibiotic most likely just made you late. If your stressing go to the doctor and have a blood test done. It will have enough of a detection to your a certain neg/pos reading. I would do that before going back on your bc just in case.

by the sound of things I don't think you are pregnant. But if it makes you feel better you should take a home pregnancy test. If it comes up negative and you are still concerned I'd see you health care provider. Good luck

i would take one in about a week. do NOT start taking your bc because if you ARE pregnant, you can hurt the baby. so i'd wait to see how your period turns out then take a test. i'd take about three just to be sure. if your NOT pregnent, take your bc. but not until you know for sure that you are not pregnant.

If you're worried, just buy a $10 home pregnancy test. I know how it feels to have a scare & to feel awkward buying a home preg. test for the 1st time, but put your mind at ease & just take care of it.

i would take one around now.. and if it comes back negative and i still think i am i would wait a week and test again.. and if that one is negative and you STILL think you're pregnant go to the doctors and have a blood test

You could take it now and it should be accurate but you can read the back of the box. It should have this info for you.
