You are guaranteed liberty, but I am not sure where you get the concept of a "right that the government won't interfere in our personal lives."
ADDITION: Lame, I am sure you like that "penumbra" term a good deal. Might even go good with a few "emminations." OK, First Amendment:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
So how does that equate to a "penumbra" that the government won't interfere in our lives? There are many government intrusions into our lives that do not conflict with the First Amendment.
Perhaps you made a mistake, and meant the Fourth?
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. "
And yet, even that amendment only prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures, and those without probable cause. A reasonable search, with probable cause, is an interference into our personal lives. Perhaps you want to rephrase your original claim of a guarantee that "the government won't interfere in our personal lives" and acknowledge that this supposed absolute "right" you claim does not really exist in the manner you describe it?
ADDITION: Absolutely amazing. Quote the Constitution, prove a point, engage in a civil debate, and still get a lib thumbs down. Does the provider of that lib thumbs down actually understand the substance of this discussion?

nothing about government is guaranteed, we must fight for it either through political means or activism.
