Our Speaker of the House goes to a rouge terrorist state (Syria) in defiance to our president’s orders, and then proceeds tell Bashar al-Assad (Syria's president) that she does not back the United States president, and soon her party will take over. This by definition is an act of Treason and according to United States law is punishable by death! So I ask you again why isn't Nancy at lease in Prison?

She can go wherever she wants. I haven't seen any proof she was betraying US secrets, or jeapordizing national security. I've heard lots of claims to that extent though :) Besides, it's not like she was acting as a representative of the US. She was merely a tourist on her trip.

No, it's not an act of treason. It's not even enough to get her tossed out of office. Not that it wasn't a bad idea, but there was nothing about it that constituted an offense for which she could be prosecuted.
Just like Bush hasn't done anything to warant impeachment, but, because the crazier lefties hate him so reflexively, they think /everything/ he does warrants impeachment.
