No it won't hurt the baby, I am a tummy layer too! and once it starts to get uncomfortable then you will have to change sleeping postions. I have found that a body pillow really helps the farther along you get, until then enjoy the comfortable tummy sleep, I know I miss it

You are fine. I had the same question a few weeks ago because I would wake up on my stomach and I was worried about it. I am now 20 weeks and I can't lay on my stomach anymore because it simply isn't comfortable. I started showing around week 18. As long as it is comfortable it is safe. There is a lot of fluid and other protection between you and the baby. As someone said earlier I have found that the left side is the most comfortable way to sleep. I'm thinking about buying a pregnancy pillow and seeing how that works. Good Luck- Hope all goes well with your pregnancy :-)

I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant, and I can still lay on my tummy, but I find it rather irritating already. Maybe because laying on my tummy doesn't seem to help my evening/all day sickness, and sometimes aggravates it. Already, I started getting hip pain in the 6th week, and now I can't lay on my right hip for long, either. So already I am sleeping mainly, and most comfortably, on my left side!

I am having my baby in less than 2 weeks and I still sleep on my stomach but i put a lot of my weight on my knees and so far it's ben fine. the only thing is that it restricts the baby's movements and knowledge of growing because the baby will think that it doesn't have any more room to grow. As a result I am having a smaller baby than normal due to that as well as another complication. Pretty soon your stomach will not allow you to lay on it because it will start hurting you.

I am not sure. But i would not do it though. i have been prego a few times and i was too scared to lay on my tummy. try laying on your side with a big body pillow and stick it beteewn you legs. Thats what i found to be most comfy when i was prego. You can find the body pillows at target and k mart. =) Congratulations! best of luck!!!

Not as long as you are comfortable. Enjoy it while you can because it won't be long b-4 you will not be comfortable on your tummy. I remember feeling the pure joy after delivering, of laying on my stomach.

No...I am eight and a half months pregnant and I still sleep on my stomach. Only if it is uncomfortable to you, is when you shouldn't do it. Otherwise laying on your stomach shouldn't harm you. Ask your doctor anyways, just to be safe....every woman is different.
