About 50 GBP (about $105). You can go much cheaper by taking the Heathrow Express for about 16 GBP to Pattington Station and then a cab for the rest of the way for about another 10-15 GBP. Not only is it cheaper but it's faster too.

If you really want to save money and don't have a big suit case, take the Tube from Pattington to the nearest stop and walk the couple of blocks at most to your hotel. You can either buy a one way ticket at Pattington, or better yet a Tube pass (Oyster card) as you will need on of those anyway.

Of course if you are staying at the Mayfair you probably are not too worried about cost to begin with.

(...its not "Pattington"...its Paddington !)

Its not that fast and its certainly not cheap! A taxi will take about 90 minutes to make that trip, and you should expect to pay around £50 to £60. Plus a 10% tip, which all licensed taxi drivers expect as standard, especially for long trips.
