Ok, last question! I am scheduled to have my tubes tied next week on Friday. I last had my period the week of the 23rd and my husband I had unprotected sex on the 13th. Stupid of me, I KNOW! But there is the possibility that I could be pregnant since I was ovulating at that time. Now the problem is my surgery is sceduled for next week which will be too early to tell if I'm pregnant right?? I know the doc will do a urine test before surgery to be safe, but if it's too early to tell, will the surgery cause a miscarriage if I am preganant?

I know-it's a difficult question that probably can only be answered by someone who has been in my situation (Yea right!) all answers are welcome :) Thanks!

You need to call your doctor and tell him/her your concerns. They will know what steps to take before you have the surgery.

Oh wow. I would say put the surgery off a little longer until you find out. Because it's a probable guarantee that you would cause a miscarriage by having your tubes tied during a pregnancy.

well its a surgery I think any kind of medical intervention could cause a m/c I would talk to the doc you need to be sure this is ok you don't wanna have any complications or anything just be honest I'm sure women have had there tubes tied and been in the early stages of pregnancy b4 but it could cause all kinds of hormonal problems and who wants to mess around with hormones UGH!! good luck!!

Call your dr and see what he/she suggest...If it were me I would cancell the surgery and maybe see if it cant be rescheduled in like 2months that will give you long enough to tell if you are pregnant and if you are not you already have another appointment scheduled and do not have to worry about not getting a date!!
