Be on time if you work on appointments. Be knowledgeable. Give complete attention to the client. If in service industry, offer suggestions for maintenance at home and product recommendations. Be realistic with client- if they want something that clearly can not be achieved be honest. Use spell check before sending any e-mails.

Don't be too annoying when asking for a sale. Ask how they'd like to be informed of new products and the frequency they'd like to be informed. Stick to it!

2. Know when they will need the product again (do they use it weekly, monthly, seasonal) and market to them at that time.
3. Make sure to stay ahead of the competition.

3.asurance or peace of mind to the customer that the product/service is guaranteed (eg money back or replacement) within reason of course
4.perks such as free giveaways with purchases or samples or generosity (eg if I receive sth, & the business gives me sth extra, making me feel appreciated for my purchase, I'll def. go back)
5.not being pushy & sending too many leaflets etc
