Tyeshia....dear.....the upside of marrying him is that you will always know where he is.
The downside is that marriage is a partnership, and that he has no ability to participate in that partnership. If you have children, you have them with an inmate. Darlin', why not find a job, and start an independent life? If you want to wait for him, and see if he can hold down a job, make responsible decisions, and become part of society, fine.
But don't commit to him. Of course he wants you now. He's going to have to grow up and his only recourse for staying dependent is you.
Let him grow up.
You need to say to him, "As long as you are serving your sentence, I will not be part of your life. Get done, get your act together, and then call me." Your world will revolve around servicing his needs if you remain in this relationship.
You will also be teaching him that he can chose to break the law and that that has no consequences on his relationship with you. He will have nothing better to do than complain to you, and direct you on how to make it better....for him.

This cant be a serious question, what would your future be… Honey, I have to work a double at McDonalds, because we need the money. Rent is due, what will we do?
Do you plan on being a burden of the state? Get a good guy with a future, not a ruff neck with a messed up past.
Trust me he is cute now, but add 10years and you will be crying everyday regreting your choices. Note the baby daddy problems posted everyday.

WHAT? Don't let this man brainwash you because he is in jail. He will do or say anything just to even have a friend when he is in jail. You should not be getting married in jail. If you do want to still marry this guy, you should definitely wait until he gets out of jail. Don't you want to have a real wedding? Don't throw your life away on someone who is in jail.

Start by getting your head examined. If after that you still decide to go thru with this crazy idea, start by contacting the Bureau of corrections (Jail) to see if it is even legal in your state and in his situation. If so the prison chaplin can probably direct you thru the process.
Good luck. YOu need it.

Contact the chaplain of the jail. It is done all the time. No conjugal visits if he is in a Federal lockup though.

At least he won't have to rent a tux. He's already got some formal black and white (striped) attire.
I guess the ol' ball 'n chain really applies here, eh?

Why in the world would you want to do that?? You'd better think a little more, or you're going to have a miserable life.
