It seems that some people have taken this opportunity to rant about Christianity. Notice, I didn't mention Christianity? You CAN read, correct?

False. It isn't a religion at all. It is nothing more or less than a plan for world domination.
From the Qu'ran. "Fight and slay the unbeliever wherever you find him."
Slay = kill
Unbeliever = any non-Muslim
Pretty cut and dry, huh?

Islam claims to be a religion of peace. So does Christianity. The problem is that neither has been very peaceful thoughout history. The cruisades and the inquisition are a few examples. The advance of the Ottoman Empire are others. Do you think Montazuma would have agreed that Christianity is a peaceful religion? Do you think the California Indians would have agreed at first that Christianity was peaceful as they sat in irons because they refused to convert or to do the will of the missionaries? Were the Slavers of the 1600s and 1700s and on into the 1800s in America peace loving people when they separated people from loved ones for profit?
One must have one's own house in order before criticizing another's.

I see it as neither religious or non violent. It relies upon completely upon the guy for a fashion he or she perspectives it. One atheist could be a raving technology-orientated lunatic, yet another can purely not care approximately different perspectives and prepare tolerance. however an identical is going for an further guy or woman in all walks of existence, no rely what the religious decision is. i'm going to place it this type: atheism and peace are 2 distinctive issues. yet whilst somebody could have the two at the same time, then kudos to them.

Islam is surely a Religion of Peace! there are many many examples, more than the sand grains on the seashore. One of the biggest example is our Book which is unchanged from last fourteen centuries since it was revealed. one of a noble sentence from God in our book says "Stay with peace, with your neighbours, your family and the people, do not create quarels on the land of God and surely you have to return to your God". our teachings tell us to be polite, even with the non-muslims.
there are certain people who are assocciated to terrorism, they have no religion, they do all this for their personal benefit and interest.
Dear friend! we should learn to respect each others religions and we should learn to get respect from others, i am sure you will read my answer with total admiration, thanks!

and example is myself.......I am a muslim and I love peace !becuase my religion teaches me so ! Now if some people get extremist and use the religion to justify their evil acts, you can't blama the religion for that.extrimist are there in every community and the are not the representative of that religion or people,,they are projecters of their own acts !!no religion teaches violence !!

It's both true and false, since the practitioners of Islam can use it for boht peaceful and violent means.
Example: Hezbollah, though called a terrorist organization by several Western nations, also uses its funds to rebuild Lebanese homes and businesses.

of course itts peace. Don't let a few bad apples paint the whole image for you. This goes the same for Christians. The majority of us are not creationists and know that evolution is fact just like gravity. Only a few extremes get to be on TV and ruin things for us.
