Paul " Bear" Bryant became most famous as the Head Coach at Alabama when he retired he had the most wins in college football history. Before going to Alabama he coached at Kentucky then at Texas A&M. The book and TV Movie "Juntion Boys" is about his 1st training camp at Texas A&M

He is Tuscaloosa, Alabama's version of Moses and Jesus Christ in one. Apparently he parted the Red Sea, resurrected a football program, turned the coffee in his cup to wine (whiskey actually), and has made a nation of Tide fans believe that everything he touched turned to gold. He sacrificed himself for the sins of the program and now sits beside God in a hounds-tooth lawn chair.
