As a kid, I'm not talking breeding or marriage.

Of course, it is a normal thing. I saw on The Learning Channel that 65 percent of adults have lost thier VIRGINITY to their first cousin. Talk about keeping it in the family.

No. Of course, since I was the youngest child of youngest children (my parents) my first cousins were, in actuality, old enough to be my parents.
I am answering this because, 4 generations ago on my Dad's side, my Granddad married my Grandma, his first cousin. Also, historically this was very common. The world population has more than doubled in my life time; only in modern times has the world population exceeded 1 billion people. At the time of Christ, the world's population was about 400,000,000. With all the religious constraints, ethical constraints, racial constraints, people mostly married their cousins, first, second or otherwise.

Nope, but as it is legal to marry your first cousin in much of the world, including more than 1/3 of US states, it's a nonproblem. My cousins were either 10 years older or 10 years younger so it was never an issue.

And for those of you who wonder, there is only a slight increase in birth defects amongst 1st cousins, which is far less than those who eat mostly fast food.

It's frowned upon in this culture...but most places in the world first cousin marriage is the preferred method.

That girl that said 65% of adults lost their virginity to their family - i don't think so. I wouldn't even think that 2% of the population did. You need to recheck your facts.

No. But in UK it isn't illegal to marry a first cousin - just not recommended because of possible genetic problems.
