Yes. But he/she will never get elected. People don't want to hear the truth and won't elect someone who tells us it will be a painful process to repair this country, the economy, foreign relations, the deficit, health care. We want everything fixed but don't want the process to effect our cushy little lives. We're just as hypocritical as the politicians.

i am sure that they are many, the problems is
for any honest politician who really cares for general public, and in order for them to survive they have to dance to any music of the corrupt and power hungry politicians who either force or in other way they directly or indirectly demand that the dissent and the honest politician to bow down
to there demands.
the point i am trying to make is that the ones who have absolute power are the ones who are liars, egoist, selfish ones who only care for their pockets.
so if the good and dissent politician's wants to do something right for a change he/she will be destroyed.
it does not matter which party is.

and i believe none of those politician should stay in their offices more than 2 or 4 years. another word the longer they stay they get more comfortable knowing that they are here in the office for long time therefore more corruption and more lies
will be feed to public.

Unfortunately the ones who are honest are inept and those that are competent seem to be dishonest. The exceptions are Lincoln who was both honest and competent, the earliest 5 presidents who also were honest and competent and then there are is our current one who is neither competent nor honest. Another competent but dishonest one was William Henry Harrison. Example of honest but incompetent are Carter and Buchanan.

From time to time, an honest politician shows up and begins his political career. Once he/she finds out about all of the dishonesty that goes on - he/she leaves the political arena and pursues another career field. This leaves us citizens in a very vulnerable and disheartening position.
Everytime it gets close to a voting time, tons of 'hopefuls' go around promising us everything just to get our votes. Once they're in office - they do a 180 and where does that leave the voter...................... ticked off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel, if a politician does not come through on his/her promises - fire them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep firing them until we find one who will do the job right! Will this happen in my life time.................. I don't know but I sure wish it would.
I become so frustrated I just don't want to vote anymore and because of those feelings (and I'm sure most of America feels the same) we keep ending up with the bottom of the barrel - scum!!!!!!!!! But if we vote, we still end up with the 'scum'!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kucinich is probably the closest you're going to get. The honest ones don't get much media attention because they say truthful things the corporate media and the corporations don't want to hear and don't want you to hear.

yes but we will never allow them to be elected, ex. if a politician was honest and stated that he/she did not believe in god, he/she could not get elected, so we get politicians that all say they are religious, we don't get honest politicians because the reality is that people want to be lied to

Dear "Quivering Orgasm" (Whew! What a stage name!!),
It has become popular to call all politicians dishonest. People throw that term around without giving it a thought.
Fortunately the vast majolrity are honest. You may not agree with their politics but that does not make them dishonest.
