I have a jerk of a professor for a sociology class that I am not doing very well in (It is sociology so I am a bit ashamed to even admit that). I am hovering around a C- level with the final exam on the horizion and my professor (a woman believe it or not) offered me extra credit in the form of participating in a study that she is doing. It would raise my grade one level for one hour of participation and 2 levels for 3 hours of participation. Problem is the study involves me getting tickled on the bottoms of my feet for long periods of time without stopping. I don't think I can deal with more than a few seconds so its not exactly something I think I can handle but at the same time I need the grade or I am screwed. Worse yet the person doing the study ties your feet down so you cannot move them during the tickling. Help, any advice is good advice, I need to make a decision right away!!!!!!!!!!!

How bad do you need the grade? If this is truly the only way to raise your grade, you might consider it. It would seem that you should be able to do some extra credit instead.
If you do go for the tickling, take heart in knowing that there is a health benefit as well. When you are laughing, your brain will flood your body with endorphins which promote healing and reduce stress.

thought at first this is a joke. sorry! wow! hmmm... what a professor. can i pull her hair? hmmm... giving students too much trouble. that's not a very good study she's doing in there. na-ah. hmmmm.. what can we do? can you please just study hard for the finals? a C is better than failing the subject. you're almost there... hang on to it. i don't like your professor. i'm sorry.

Ask if you can tape it and sell it on the internet. Other than that, make sure you pee a lot before she starts.
