Yes it will be wiped clean. But you can copy all of the data to another storage device and then format. Then simply copy it back onto the formatted USB.

Yes, it will delete everything on the drive. Formatting the USB pen drive is a good idea though, due to it being inserted into many machines, it may possibly contain threats to the integrity of you data on USB pen. If you are going to format the drive I suggest you back up ALL the required data on another drive and transfer back over once formatting of your USB pen is complete. Hope this helps!!!!!!

No it won't actually. Formatting a drive just erases the indexes, not the data itself. If you haven't written anything else to it, you might be able to recover data from it. Just go to download.com, and find a hard drive recovery program.

yes it will be wipped.... best bet copy it to your hard drive first then format... then you can copy any portion of the old data back on to the usb.
