I have a question sorry if I'm too descriptive, my husband and I have just started trying for a baby, our first. After we've had sex and go to bed, I'm constantly having to get up in the night to clean myself is there anything I can do to make it more comfortable to sleep? I've tried using a pad or tampon I just want to make sure I'm not ruining the baby making process.

You should be able to "clean up" without worry of getting rid of sperm.

The excess that leaks out has almost no sperm left in it. Within 3 - 5 minutes after ejaculation, the strongest sperm would already be within the uterus and on their way.

I use a clean, warm wash clothe and "bare down" until I push most of it out. (good strong kegel muscles help)
After that do a good wipe up. Whatever you do, don't douche or "rince out" your vagina. Bacteria can be forced up into the uterus also.

When finished, I go to the bathroom, even though I'm trying too, and then put on a regular pair of underwear and a panty liner. If I don't go to the bathroom after I get like what you described. I've done research and found that going to the bathroom after does not affect the process of baby making.

What I have found that if my husband waits after ejacuation for a moment before withdrawing from me it helps to lessen the amount that "spills" back out. It also makes a difference for me if I tilt my pelvis for a few minutes after intercourse.

Good luck!!!!!! Baby dust for you!!!

Definately don't use a tampon...I find the best thing is just to put on a pair of underwear.

Um, yeah. deja vu.

After boffing-keep your legs up for a few minutes to let gravity do some work.

Then go wash up after a little while.

Putting your legs up in the air will do nothing. Even if you clean yourself, it will not hurt your chances of becoming pregnant. Good luck!

You can clean yourself up and still get pregnant. Trust me, I did and I wasn't even trying.
