They should win the division but they will have to take on either the Braves or the Mets or both. That will be difficult. But as we saw last year, anything is possible. If n 83-78 Cardinal team can win it all, why not the Dodgers. The Dodgers have a better team both last year and this year.

No they cant, at least not right now. I am a huge dodger fan, living in LA its either the blue or the red, and I'm the blue :)

The dodgers need one more big bat. Nomar and Kent, we will see if they can make it a full season (health is an issue with both). The dodgers pitching is pretty good and could be good enough to beat the Mets, the Cubs, the Braves, etc., but they will need to score 6-8 runs to beat these teams in the playoffs, and right now, i dont think they can do that consistantly

I'm not a Dodgers fan, but they're my choice from the NL to make it to the Series.

I believe that they have the best pitching in the major leagues, which is what it takes to win come playoff time. If Jason Schmidt was completely healthy, they'd be monsters. Even without him, though, I expect to win that division easily.

Their offense isn't great, but it's definitely in the top half of major league teams. I really think Grady Little needs to drop Juan Pierre down in the order, though, because his inability to get on base is dragging down some big innings. Besides Pierre, though, everyone is pulling their weight.

I expect the Dodgers to win their division easily. I believe they can win in the playoffs, too, but those short series are often nothing more than a crapshoot.

In my opinion the Dodgers who by the way are from the west coast, but play in the national league, not with the red sox do have a very good chance of getting to the world series, given that their pitching continues to dominate and that their offense who are very capable start hitting more, so that they can hang with hitting teams like the brewers and mets. So my answer would be yes and if they can add a power hitter by the trade deadline that would increase their chances even more.

Not a chance. They are the best in the West but they will never hang with the Red Sox or the like in the American League. Dodgers will be out in the first round of the playoffs.

I am a Dodgers fan, but I hate to say that some of their pitchers are starting to crumble; namely Tomko and Hendrickson. How on earth could they sign up Hendrickson when he throws like a little girl who didn't want to hurt her left arm. Tomko appears to murmur to himself whenever someone hits his pitch. I think Grady should put Broxton and Brazoban in the lineup. Plus, they signed up Garciaparra and Gonzales for their homeruns (where's the homeruns from these guys??) Until they tweak the pitching rotation, I doubt they'll even reach the playoffs. Pl

At this writing, no team is mathematically eliminated from appearing in the 2007 World Series.

Sorry, I don't think so. Their offense is old and lacks any sort of power. Their speed / base stealing helps make up some for that, but they just don't have the big bat. A trade might help make them more of a contender, but they are definitely not going to win the WS

Yes, and I expect them to be there. They have solid pitching, experience and a good enough bullpen to make it.
