Do you agree with the Suspensions of Amare Stoudamire and Boris Diaw after the hard foul by Robert Horry in Game 4 of the Suns-Spurs series?

I agree that people need to have some personal responsibility. The NBA has never let someone of the hook on this rule why would they now. And anyone who refers to Duncan in the 2nd has not watched the whole play. Elson dunks the ball the whole team gets out of their seat and Duncan was already on the court, then sees Elson take a face plant and shrugs his shoulder as to say that had to hurt. He did not come running out of the bench to throw a punch.

I do agree with the suspensions for the most part. It should come as no surprise to Stoudamire and Diaw since not leaving the bench in a situation like that has been a rule for quite a while. Horry on the the other should get a suspension for his little hip check but not 2 games. The man problem I have is that the should have been some suspensions long before that, mainly Bowen, Davis, and Jackson. You cannot tell me that knee to the growing was on "accident" or that the elbow to Fisher's head when the ball was not were near him didn't merit a suspension. Play started getting rough, too rough, until it reached the level it did in San Antonio. I think players started seeing that they could get away with hard fouls and they wouldn't get suspended because it is the playoffs. If the league would have suspending player earlier for uncalled for actions I don't think Horry would have hip checked Nash like he did and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Anyway that is my two cents on the subject.

no, from what i've heard the spurs were giving nash a lot of trouble before this. the suns were probably on edge and when nash got pushed again they reacted. Amare and Diaw didnt get involved in the actual fight even though they left the bench.

I do not agree with them BUT the rules written as they are are THE RULES and if the NBA started making concessons now, they would be asked to make them all the time. What I find MORE bothersome is that the NBA has allowed a LOT of dirty play on SA's part, knees to groin, kicking of achilles, etc.. and NOTHING has come of it. I do feel the NBA's choice to ignore the dirty play has allowed this series to escalate much further than it ever should have.

no its ridoulous. the spurs have played dirty all series. it was a natural reaction if your teammate gets knocked to stand up and take a step towards the action. Its not like amare and boris came running in swinging punches. It's like the suns are getting punished for this crap. Go Bulls, Bulls in 7!

I don;t agree with the suspentions. i think that it was a really hard foul and they were looking out for there guy. i mean if one of you're friends takes a shot from someone who's several inches taller you're not gonna just watch it happen.
plus on ESPN it showed a time when something happened and Duncan came off the bench. so if they're playing letter of the law then he's gone to

No i don't agree.
So the rule states that if you leave the bench area then you get a 1 game suspension.
NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
The only reason I don't agree with this is because Duncan and Bowen weren't suspended. They left the bench earlier so they should get 1 game. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Bowen and Duncan MUST get suspended.

In one since no alot of things have to be considered it's not fair that the Purs leveled Nash and than got rewarded for it, But in the other case it's the real and they have done this baefore they just want to stay consistant

Absolutely..Rules are rules..Besides even if the Spurs were breaking rules as well, it doesn't count unless the ref's call it..Though they should be calling a fair game and not try to give it to one team or another.
