Well, most ideas until now are outdated by far - hardly anybody would give such a name to a newly born baby (only exceptions: Klaus, Peter).

In the link offered you'll find the most popular names of the year 2007 until now...

I remember a German actress with the name Senta Berger. I always liked the name Senta or Pia. The "i" in Pia is pronounced like "ee".I also like: Kordula or for a boy: Axel, Uwe, Falko and Tilo.

omg please don't use those old names, your kid will never live it down...lol a lot of germans r actually naming their kids more american names now then the old fashioned german ones. kevin is a big hit for example. for girls we r having a lot of hannah and emma and emily again, another boy name is janik, which is a version of the american yannik, girls also still get names like jasmin johannes and peter r more options, johannes being the german version of john. if i would have had another girl i woulda called her anna-lena........just remember the kids has to go thru life with the name u ultimately chose.........good luck

My Oma's name is Rosewita (the w sounds like a v). I love it! Then there's Jessica (the J sounds like a Y). Gerlinde, Sieglinde (could be called glenda).
