I do not think that Australia had won the final just because Adam Gilchrist had used the squash ball, as they had defeated Sri Lanka earlier in Super 8 Matches. People may come out with the excuses that Sri Lanka lost to Australia just because Chaminda Vaas and Muralitharan did not play in that match. But they defenitely played in the final and anybody who had followed the match can make out what pathetic performance they put up. If Sri Lanka would have capitalised on the chances offered by Australian Batsmen, Australia would not have been able to put up such a huge score.

the long and short of it is that Australia was a better team when they played shralanka.
Australia is a sporting country and the maybe the most celebrated (played and watched) sport in Australia is cricket. Australia has been playing cricket for ages, so our nation is full of kids with talent as most Aussie families will have a knock around with the cricket bat on the beach or back yard.

THE FANTASY IS-you think we cheated,when clearly Gilly was within the rules of the ICC and MCC.and you think you would have won if Gilly didn't make the huge total he did-you would have lost anyway its just that the rest of our batsmen didn,t need to do anything special after Gilly destroyed your average bowling attack.
THE REALITY IS-we are the world champions fair and square and you are a bitter sore loser along with a couple other whingers on this forum.and we smashed you twice in the world cup.and we smashed every other side we played throughout the world cup.and most educated people around the world can recognise that this is the fact.

Everyone already knows that they are great players.
Gilly just used the squash ball to make sure he did the best he could have...he hadnt been doing so well in the world cup, even though he is a great player. so his 149 runs were to make up for the rest of the CWC.
