Some shapes are more appealing than others.
I love ancient architecture. Many buildings were constructed on the principle of the "golden rectangle" which is a mathematic formula that states that there is a particular formula that we can use to construct shapes that are appealing to the eye.
Some of the world's most famous/popular buildings are based on the formula.
