...Sony Pictures has had the DVD release of "The Burning" on their 'to-be-announced' list for two or three years, now, with no word as to why it's taking so long....
I'd like to think that the best things are worth waiting for, as the DVD release is being put out as a 'special edition', with all kinds of bells, whistles and extras one could shake a stick at. The disc is also going to have the uncut version of the film, previously only available on Japanese laserdisc.
...it's one of the few (if not the last) unreleased horror films that showcased master make-up artist Tom Savini's gleefully gruesome and grotesque effects.
...I guess, well just have to stay tuned, for now!!!
