I am trying to establish the power cost to store information inside regular PC RAM. My goal is to estimate the power cost to read/manipulate a SPAM message considering RAM power consuming cost.

A memory DIMM, i.e. 512 MB to 1 GB or so is generally about 25 - 30 watts, roughly. At the bit level, it's insignificant.

You might look on the websites for some of the manufacturers such as Kingston and look at the spec. They will vary according to capacity, speed and interface.
