If you download mp3's without paying, and the artist hasnt given permission to the website, then it's illegal. If you buy mp3 downloads from a place like itunes, then it is legal.

Download them from limewire and its illegal, and you could face VERY hefty fines (hundreds of thousands of dollars)

piracy is illegal period.. you know if you payed for it or not..
