I for one think they were the best rotation of all time, but here are some challengers.

Dodgers of the mid 60's (Koufax, Drysdale). Orioles of the early 70's (Palmer, McNally, Cuellar).

One year the Orioles had 4 20 game winners.

I didn't put 1920's or earlier because it isn't fair to compare these eras.

I would desire to assert that they are genuinely to stunning 3, probable selection a million, yet indexed right here are 2 different super pitching rotations that supply them a run for their money: 2004 Boston crimson Sox; Pedro Martinez and Curt Schilling, 2 corridor-of-famers, and w/o injuries, 2 3 hundred-recreation winners. Plus you upload Tim Wakefield to those 2, and you have an excellent combination. in my opinion,i think of Pedro is extra suitable than glavine or Smoltz, and purely as stable as Maddux. Curt Schilling is probable even w/ Glavine. additionally, yet another w/ Schilling in contact, is the 2001 D-backs. Randy Johnson, between the terrific lefties ever, and Schilling have been so dominant, exceedingly in Curt Schilling's occupation 12 months. those are my stunning 3 interior the last decade, looking back farther, there must be some extra, however the Braves are genuinely way up there.

Quite good, but not the best ever. Remember, Smoltz was a relief pitcher for much of the time Maddux and Glavine were starting for the Braves.

Chow!!

One of the best. You would have to give some consideration to Koufax, Drysdale, and Johnny Podres on the Dodgers in the 1960's and Palmer, McNally, and Cuellar on the Orioles in the 1970's.

They are in the discussion thats for sure, short list might include

Braves Trio
Dodgers with Koufax and Drysdale
Mets with Ryan and Seaver
Orioles staff in the 70s

but I would make them 1 and 1a with the Dodgers of the 50s

I think that it was a very good pitching staff and if they would have stayed together a little longer they could have maybe been the best ever.

Thought at their prime, I dont' think you could find three better pitchers to pitch for you. Put those three in a row, and you would almost have batters scared.

YES! for braves fans its just too bad they didnt have the hitting to match the pitching, they would have been a dynasty if that was the case

I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan and I have to say when this group got broken up I almost cried. I'd have to say if they aren't the best ever they are very close.

With out a doubt and if Avery would have stayed healthy they would have been even better. The only one that could have ever came close was if Zito, Hudson, and Harden all still pitched together. Name one that was better?
