Try going to work for a day care. That way maybe you could have your child there in a class while you're working. Weddings don't have to be big to be meaningful. Consider less expensive options like a justice of the peace. Get your friends to help out with a wedding shower (cash gifts only). Wish you the best.

I would try waiting tables somewhere; it's a flexible job that can pay a lot in certain places. Plus you may not have to pay for child care--you can work whenever your husband can stay home with the baby. Either way, just scan the classifieds and keep trying.

You may want to be married simply (the ceremony's the cheapest part), and then have a party or celebration later when you've saved some money. Or instead of a reception you can rent out a restaurant and celebrate there--each person can pay their own way.

My wife of 39 years and I were married by a J P. We have made a wonderful, successful life together. The 'wedding' is, and should be, about you and your husband. The 'ceremony' is irrelevant. Regarding employment, keep on trying. Don't give up. And, once you are comfortable with arrangements for your son, get into the local community college and begin to develop a career for yourself. Have and keep faith in yourself and your spouse.
