i'm in highschool....and i want to be a middle school or high school counselor....what college should i go to? and what courses should i take? (i live in Georgia)

There are many colleges with Psychology classes. I would recommend going to a two-year college before going to a four-year college, since the education is basically the same but the cost is a lot less. Being a school counselor does not pay that well so having less debt is a good thing. For the most part you will need to have some basic science chemistry/biology classes as well as the general education requirements. Then you will end up taking many Psych classes on different aspects of personality, sexuality and social behaviors. Many schools will also require you to get a masters degree as well as a bachelors. Then you will have to find a school that has a program with the specialty you are looking for. It is a lot of work but very rewarding if you can stick to it.

you need your MASTERS degree in school counseling. so first major in an education field, get experience, then go to graduate school for counseling
